BEC Scrimmage Fest a Gr8 Success in spite of Harsh Nor’Easter!

This past Sunday, the BEC Girls hosted an exciting scrimmage/ friendly event that hosted some excellent U11 and U12 teams from the tri-state area. Included in the guest list were the Bergen Essex Celtic U11 Girls, Alberston Fury ’98, North Rockland U12 Magic, Long Valley United Panthers, and the Toms River Fusion U11 Girls. Each team managed to get in 2 friendlies each, and amidst threatening Nor’Easter like weather, all the games were played and much needed touches and game time were logged for all the teams’ who were looking for good warm up action prior to their Jefferson Cup trip. The BEC Girls had a great match with Albertson Fury ’98; playing them to a 3-0 loss with only 12 players. In their second game of the day, they came back in the second half to Tie the U12 Long Valley Panthers by a score of 2-2. All coaches from all 5 teams were very pleased with the day of friendlies as all players got in much needed game touches before the Spring Season kicks off.
