U11 Girls Perform Well @ U12 9 v 9 Quickstrike Tournament

In their first winter event after the Fall season, the U11 girls performed well against U12 competition at the recent QuickStrike 9 v 9 Tournament on Dec 12th. The BEC U11 team ended the day with 1 loss and 2 draws. The 1st game was a 1-1 draw against the U12 Alleycats from Albany. 2nd game was a 3-0 loss to the U12 SDA Select team. And the 3rd match, the most competitive of the day, was a 2-2 draw to the U12 Quickstrike ’98 Girls. In all 3 games, BEC was outsized at every position. The coaching staff was very happy to see the girls not back down to their older opponents. In each of the games, BEC dominated play for much of the time. Overall, the girls out shot the older teams. Perhaps the best highlight was the 3rd match where BEC led Quickstrike 2-0, up until the last 10 minutes; hoping to get a chance at a consolation slot, they fought hard, only to end the game in a draw 2-2. The BEC Coaching staff agree that it was a great confidence builder moving forward.
