Ultimate NJSA Labor Day Kickoff Tournament Recap

The BEC Celtics U11 Girls competed in the NJSA Ultimate Labor Day Kickoff Tournament in Lincroft, NJ. Making it to the semi-final match against NJSA, the players finished the weekend with 1 win and 2 losses. The first match versus a much improved Marlboro team produced a 1-0 win for BEC. The second match, the most exciting of the weekend, the girls played a spirited game where they showcased much of what new SkyBlue trainer, Meredith Rooney, has been teaching them. Although it was a 2-0 loss against a very talented Council Rock Premier team, coaches from both teams were impressed with the the level of competition from both teams. In the Semifinal match on Day 2, BEC lost to NJSA 3-0 against NJSA Sting. Overall, the coaches were very pleased with the tournament warm-up as JAGS play begins next week.
