U10 Girls Win BEC’s First JAGS Match over Marlboro 4-0!!
March 29th, 2009
The BEC U10 Girls won their first JAGS Spring Season 2009 match against Marlboro by the score of 4-0. The players went into the game feeling very loose and confident after working very hard during the winter session and seeing success and progress at 2 winter tournaments, the NJ Indoor State Cup, and most recently at the Red Bulls Cup in Waldwick. For the players and coaching staff it felt good to get a win on the board early, and for a rookie team in the U10 JAGS bracket it’s a great way to come out of the gate as the spring soccer season kicks in. Thankfully, the “rain” held off for the match. Six (6) “different” players were able to make shot attempts, totalling 11 for the match. Four (4) Goals were scored by three (3) “different” players; 1 assist was recorded, 2 goals were unassisted, and 1 goal came off a rebounded shot attempt. The BEC defense also held strong throughout the match. Congratulations to the players and coaching staff on game 1!!
